NAPPANEE - Andrew J. Mast, 90, of 71339 CR 9, Nappanee, died at 10:35 p.m., July 31, 2008, at Miller's Merry Manor, Wakarusa.

He was born June 29, 1918, in Haven, Kan., to Jacob and Sarah Chupp Mast. On Nov. 21, 1944, in Nappanee, he married Anna Hochstetler, who survives.

He lived in Nappanee for 63 years. He was a retired factory worker and farmer, and he drove a school bus for the Wa-Nee School Corp. and United Christian School. He was a member of Maple Lawn Mennonite Church since 1958.

Also surviving are three sons: Marvin (and spouse Carlene) Mast, Tualatin, Ore.; Allen (and spouse Norma) Mast, Goshen; and Ernest (and spouse Debbie) Mast, Richmond, Va.; four daughters: Mary Carpenter, Nappanee; Miriam (and spouse Brian) Hartman, Wakarusa; Mattie (and spouse Mark) Chupp, Nappanee; and Naomi (and spouse Aaron) Yoder, Leesburg; a brother, Emory Mast, Sarasota, Fla.; a sister, Elizabeth (and spouse Levi) High, Sarasota, Fla.; 14 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, five brothers and a sister.

Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Maple Lawn Amish Mennonite Church with Thomas Mast officiating, assisted by Paul Yoder. Burial will be in Maple Lawn Amish Mennonite Church Cemetery.

Calling is from 4-7 p.m. today and 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at the church.
