American Legion Auxiliary Hosts Health Fair

The American Legion Auxiliary, John C. Peterson Unit #49, Warsaw, hosted a free health fair Feb. 21. The public was invited to take advantage of multiple services, which were offered free of charge to all attendees.
CPR classes were taught by EMS personnel led by EMT Jim Railsback. American Red Cross provided an onsite bloodmobile for a blood drive. According to a press release, it was reported that over 15 units of blood were donated within the first four hours.
YMCA, as well as Kosciusko Community Hospital Health and Wellness program, distributed free passes and information on healthy lifestyles and living programs offered at their Warsaw locations.
Mentone Chiropractics gave free assessments and educational materials on back health. American Red Cross also provided informational materials of services offered to military and their families regarding pre-deployment services offered to veterans returning home.
American Heart Association offered information on the Go Red campaign for women’s heart health, as well as on heart health and stroke warning signs.
Angels of Mercy Home health agency gave free professional blood pressure checks throughout the day.
The auxiliary provided an assortment of cookies, baked goods, bottled water, orange juice, coffee and tea during this event.[[In-content Ad]]
