Altrusa Int. Held Business Meeting

Altrusa International of Warsaw held its August business meeting Aug. 4 at the KCH Wellness Center, led by President Susan Woodward.

Mary Ann Cox opened the meeting with prayer.  

Cindy Hollwell was introduced as the guest speaker for this meeting and is a consultant for Thirty-One Gifts.   

Sergeant of Arms Vicki Martin fined members who were not wearing their Altrusa pins and also sold raffle tickets for one of three Boyd Bears donated by Susan Woodward. 

Finance Committee Chair Jolene Howard shared several upcoming fundraisers.

At the next meeting Sept. 1, Hollwell will demonstrate gifts available through Thirty One Gifts with a percentage of sales to benefit Altrusa service projects.

Jolene and finance co-chair Stacey Leeper are finalizing committees for planning for the Beaman Home Bingo event Oct. 13. 

Membership committee co-chair Jeannine Knowles shared with members an upcoming Get on Board event  Sept. 7 at the Center Lake Pavilion. A sign up sheet was distributed for volunteers to represent Altrusa of Warsaw at this volunteerism event.    

Altrusa’s next program meeting will be Sept. 1 at 5:30 p.m. at Court House Coffee near Elder Beerman. This will be an informal open house meeting and they encourage anyone thinking about joining a service organization that is very engaged in serving other to stop by and join.
