ALS Support Group Welcomes Speakers

The ALS Association support group that meets in Warsaw will welcome two professionals this summer.
On July 10, speech therapist Susanna McKinnley will speak about communication issues and ALS.
Susanna is an expert in augmentative communication and all its insurance dealings. She will discuss and demonstrate low-tech, mid-tech and high-tech options for communication when speech becomes affected.
On June 12 from 6:30 to 8 p.m. at Winona Lake Grace Brethren Church 1200 Kings Hwy, Winona Lake., respiratory therapist Angela King, Mobile Medical Maintenance, will speak about breathing issues and ALS.
King worked with Christopher Reeves and has vast experience working with breathing issues. She will address invasive and non-invasive options for respiratory support.
