Ruth Allison was born Sept. 28, 1921, in Pennsylvania, to Walter J. and Mary McCombie.

She married Roy Allison June 3, 1944, and moved to Winona Lake.

She has three children: Neil, Pat and Kathy; five grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.

After Roy’s death in 1986, she moved to Robin Hood Apartments Grace Village, where she has lived for 22 years and enjoys being a part of the chimes choir. She is a member of the Winona Lake Literary Club and is an avid reader. She worked many years in the medical field and retired from Kosciusko Community Hospital in 1991.

An open house will be from 2 to 4 p.m. Sept. 25 at Grace Village Community Center, 1436 Camelot Drive, Winona Lake. No gifts please.
