He was born Nov. 3, 1954, in Warsaw, to L.C. and Peggy McGinnis Drabenstott.
A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, in 1973, he started as machinist at DePuy, Warsaw, retiring in 2010. He was a member of the local United Steel Workers 809, Warsaw. In the 1970s, he drove race cars at the Warsaw Speedway, and in recent years, participated with the Cruz-Ins Classic Car Club.
He will be lovingly remembered by two sons, David (and spouse Carrie) Drabenstott, Indianapolis, and Daniel (and spouse Ryanne) Drabenstott, Syracuse; five grandchildren: Michael, Aaron, Angela, Lauren and Courtney; his father, L.C. Drabenstott, Warsaw; three sisters, Audrey (and spouse Palmer) Stambaugh and Lori Vincent, all of Warsaw, and Lisa (and spouse Michael) Scott, Leesburg, Indiana); and his fiance, Lori Dillon, Claypool. He was preceded in death by his mother, Peggy McGinnis Drabenstott, who died in 2004, and his grandparents.
Service will be at 11 a.m. Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Michael Kelley. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday at the funeral home.
