Robert Dale Allen will celebrate his 80th birthday with an open house beginning at 4 p.m. Sunday in his residence in Leesburg, given by his children and grandchildren.

He was born Aug. 17, 1931, in Leesburg, to Herman and Helen Allen.

He was raised in Detroit, Mich., and Leesburg.

In 1953, he married Sandra Hartman, who is deceased. 

He served in the U.S. Navy from 1951-54 and worked at Milford Machine Shop, Goshen Case Co. and DaLite Screen Co. He was past master of Leesburg Masonic Lodge and voluneered on the Leesburg Fire Dept.

He has four children: Kay Pylant and Kip, Ken and Kraig Allen.[[In-content Ad]]
