Alleged Meth Cookers Busted In Warsaw

Stuart Lee Lewallen, 47, of 17272 CR 50 Syracuse, was arrested and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail at 9:04 p.m. Thursday for dealing methamphetamine. His bond was set at $20,000.[[In-content Ad]]Charles Brandon Shepherd, 29, of 223 W. Jefferson St., Warsaw, was arrested and booked into the jail at 8:36 p.m. for possession of legends or precursors to manufacturing methmphetamine and failure to appear. He is being held on $2,500 bond.
According to the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force, Warsaw police officers went to the Victory Hotel at 223 W. Jefferson St., Warsaw, because they received a call about a fight in progress around 7:05 p.m.
When officers arrived at the scene, they did not find a fight in progress, but smelled chemicals associated with making meth and called the drug task force.
Drug task force officers went to the Victory Hotel, where they found a working "one pot method" methamphetamine lab, precursors for making meth and completed meth.
The Indiana State Police Clandestine Lab Team was called to dismantle the lab and secure the scene, and Lewallen and Shepherd were arrested.
The Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department, Warsaw Police Department, Indiana State Police and the Kosciusko County Drug Task Force responded to the scene.
