Alice Marie McCrum, 72, of Warsaw, passed away at 1:13 p.m. Jan. 14, 2013, in her residence.
She was born Dec. 16, 1940, in Arizona, to John and Dorothy Inez Toon Lasiter. On June 14, 1963, in Warsaw, she married Pastor Arthur Earl McCrum, who died in 2009.
She was a resident of Kosciusko County for the past four years, returning to Warsaw, in 2009. She resided in Indiana, California, Iowa and Michigan. She was a faithful pastor’s wife, and also was actively involved in the children’s and women’s ministries in the church. She graduated from Tracy (Calif.) High School, then continued on to receive her degree in elementary education from Grace College, Winona Lake.
She will be lovingly remembered by a son, Alan (and spouse Michele) McCrum, Pierceton; a daughter, Ann (and spouse Gary) Richard, Warsaw; eight grandchildren: Tim (and spouse Kaitlyn) Richard and Jo and Katie Richard, all of Warsaw; Maria (and spouse Jeremiah) Nicholl, Plymouth; Christopher (and spouse Santana) McCrum, Winona Lake; Aliesa, Cara and Becca McCrum, all of Pierceton; three great-grandchildren, Trinity, Bryse and Arriyanna McCrum, all of Winona Lake; her mother, Inez Lathrop, California; two brothers, Larry Lasiter, Oklahoma, and John Lasiter, California; and two sisters, Nancy Gascich, Oregon, and Donna Loveless, California. She also was preceded in death by her father and two sisters.
Services will be at noon Friday at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, with Pastor Russ Simpson officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 9 a.m. to noon Friday at the funeral home.
