She was born Nov. 20, 1943, in Nappanee, to Jerry and Alma Stutzman Stutzman. On April 11, 1973, in Bremen, she married William Louis Powers, who died Sept. 29, 1994.
She graduated from Nappanee High School in 1962. Living most of her life in the Warsaw area, she worked in quality control at Medtronic Sofamor Danek Manufacturing for 15 years, retiring in 2010. She was a member of Bourbon Bible Church. She was a fabulous painter and loved watching birds, the theater – especially Warsaw’s Wagon Wheal Theatre – and loved to travel the United States.
Surviving are two sons, Richard (and spouse Judith) Powers, Columbia City, and John (and spouse Tammy) Powers, Melbourne, Fla.; a daughter, Larraine McKinney, Charlotte, N.C.; three grandchildren; five sisters: Frances (and spouse James) Cox, Crestview, Fla.; Clara Belle Yoder, Plain City, Ohio; Rosie Coblentz, Sarasota, Fla.; Freda (and spouse Richard) Ward, Plymouth; and Marie Myers, Warsaw; and three brothers: William (and spouse Betty) Stutzman, Palm Harbor, Fla.; Larry Stutzman, Plymouth; Jerry (and spouse Sally) Stutzman, Syracuse. She also was preceded in death by his parents.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, officiated by Pastor Larry Goss of Bourbon Bible Church. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 3 to 7 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
