Kosciusko County Alcoholic Beverage Commission approved a license renewal for Oakwood Inn Thursday.

Commissioners also approved a new license for a Warsaw business expected to open around the end of the year.

A liquor license for Oakwood Inn was granted in August 2011 while Buckingham Co. was in talks to purchase the property. The license was granted in the name of 684 Partners LLC.

The permit has been in escrow since then, and Dr. Rex Parent, a Fort Wayne opthamologist, stepped in earlier this year after Buckingham backed out of the purchase. The alcohol license will be transferred as well.

Commissioners also approved a new license for HAE Investments LLC, which plans to open a restaurant at 2604 Shelden St. in late December or early January.

Heather Espinoza, owner of planned restaurant Rosewood, told commissioners they’re still developing the menu but plan to offer things like steak and pasta.

Rosewood will open in the former location of Wings Etc., which moved to 3416 Lake City Highway. Commissioners also approved the transfer of location for Wings Etc.’s license Thursday.

Other renewals commissioners approved Thursday without violations:
- Lucky’s Tavern, North Webster
- Lassus Handy Dandy #45 and #36, Warsaw
