Albertis 'Albert' L. Sherow

ARGOS – Albertis “Albert” L. Sherow, 76, Warsaw, passed away at 10:41 p.m. Aug. 18, 2015, at IU Health Goshen Hospital following a lengthy illness.
He was born Nov. 2, 1937, in Plymouth, to Aldora Albertis and Anna Fetters Sherow. On Sept. 12, 1958, he married June Wilson, who preceded him in death Feb. 9, 2004. On Dec. 17, 2004, he married Shirley Hibshman, who survives in Warsaw. They spent the last 10 years together.
He lived in Warsaw for the last 11 years, moving from Richland Center. He worked for Kabelin Ace Hardware, Plymouth and Walkerton, from 1996 until he retired in 2015. He proudly served his country in the U.S. Army from Feb. 16 to Aug. 15, 1957, and was transferred to the U.S. Army Reserve Military District and served until Nov. 25, 1964.
Also surviving are: a daughter, Judith L. (and spouse Donald) Wallace, Rochester; two sons, Roger L. (and spouse Edwina) Sherow, Waterloo, Ala.; Albert L. (and spouse Camille) Sherow, Warsaw; and Ricky (and spouse Stacy) Sherow, Etna Green; 25 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; and four step-grandchildren, Brenda (and spouse Dave) Snyder, Goshen; John Whitmyer, Elkhart; Tim (and spouse Sandy) Whitmyer, Jimtown; and Andy Whitmyer, Edwardsburg. He was also preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, Lucille Stump and Rose Elsworth, and two brothers, Danny and Roscoe Sherow.
Services will be at 10 a.m. Monday at Earl-Grossman Funeral Home, 208 N. Michigan St., Argos, with the Rev. Steve Patrick of the House of the Lord Church, Plymouth, officiating. Burial is in Rice Cemetery, Elkhart.
Calling is from 2 to 6 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home.
