NORTH WEBSTER – Albert Andrew “Bert” Bauer, 88, of North Webster, died at 5:05 a.m. Sept. 25, 2012, in Summit City Nursing Rehab, Fort Wayne.

He was born Oct. 22, 1923 in Celina, Ohio, to Valentine and Chloral  Counterman Bauer. On Jan. 26, 1963, in Fort Wayne, he married Phyllis A. Moore Galbreath, who survives.

He graduated from North Side High School, Fort Wayne. He moved to Arizona from Fort Wayne in 1971 and to North Webster in August 2011. He retired in 1988 from St. Joseph Hospital, Phoenix, Ariz., as an engineer after 16 years and formerly worked at Eckrich Meats,  Fort Wayne, for 20 years.

Also surviving are four daughters: Peggy Mueller, Fort Wayne; Marsha (and spouse Tim) Estes, Lima, Ohio;  Janet Kline, Mesa, Ariz.; and Rebecca (and spouse Sam)   Hoffman, Warsaw; two sons, Ronald Bauer, Fort Wayne, and Theodore (and spouse Bridgette) Bauer, Greenville, Ohio; a stepdaughter, Sandra Minnick, Warsaw; three stepsons: Larry (and spouse Jane) Galbreath, Phoenix;  William “Bill” (and spouse Tina) Galbreath, Grants Pass, Ore.; and Donald Galbreath, North Webster; several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; and a brother, Wayne (and spouse Barbara) Bauer, Carefree, Ariz. He was preceded in death by a sister and three brothers.

A graveside service will be at 1:30 p.m. Friday at North Webster Cemetery, Mock Addition, with Pastor Brad Cox officiating.

Calling is from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday at Owen Family Funeral Home, North Webster.
