She was born March 3, 1918, in Whitley County, to James W. and Hazel Raypole Gaff. On Dec. 31, 1941, she married Lloyd E. Stanley, who died Aug. 21, 2008.
She retired in 1983 after 25 years from Eaton Controls Co., North Manchester. She was a member of United Methodist Church, North Manchester. She was a member of Daughters of the American Revolution.
Surviving are two sons, Wayne (and spouse Doris) Stanley, North Manchester, and Glen Stanley, Indianapolis; a daughter, Kay Leslie, Warsaw; and three brothers, Norbert Gaff, West Palm Beach, Fla.; Alpheus Gaff and Stanley Gaff, both of Columbia City; and a sister, Ginevra Arnold, Dunfee; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, three brothers, Wilbert Julian Gaff, James Leland Gaff and Jesse Gaff; and three sisters, Mary Francis Gaff, Betty Nioma Egner and Ruth Coy.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Wednesday at McKee Mortuary, North Manchester, with Pastors Larry Ray and Kevin DeKoninck officiating. Burial will be in South Whitley Cemetery.
Calling is from 4 to 6 p.m. Tuesday at the mortuary, and one hour prior to services Wednesday.
