Advanced EMT Classes to be Held

NORTH WEBSTER – ­Advanced EMT and Advanced EMT Bridge classes will begin next month at the North Webster Tippecanoe Township EMS building, 499 W. Washington St.
Classes will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning Sept. 17 and ending March 13. There will be a day class offered from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. and a night class from 6 to 10 p.m.
Those who want to participate must be preregistered by Sept. 7. The course will meet all Department of Transportation Advanced Emergency Medical Technician requirements and the Indiana Homeland Security EMS curriculum.
Topics include patient assessment, body systems, trauma, oxygen administration and automatic and manual difibrillation.
Registration requirements include current EMT certification or PSID membership, a record of Hepatitis shot or signed refusal, a current CPR-HPC card, current TB test result within the past year, and a current valid driver’s license.
