Adams Seeking WCS School Board Seat

"With my background and experience, if elected to serve as a member of the Warsaw Community Board of School Trustees, I feel I can remain active and continue contributing to our local communities," Adams said,
He previously served 16 years in the Indiana General Assembly, retiring from Senate District 9 in 2004. He returned to his home community to spend more time with his family and grandchildren's activities.
Adams' background includes 31 years in public education as a teacher, coach and administrator in several area school systems, including Concord, Bremen, Goshen, Mishawaka and Warsaw.
He holds undergraduate, graduate and post-graduate degrees in education and administration.
He also was an Indiana state trooper, following in the footsteps of his father, who served as Warsaw police chief in the 1940s and 1950s.
Adams was named Outstanding Freshman Legislator in 1989 in the Indiana House of Representatives.
He was honored two times as Indiana Chamber of Commerce Small Business Champion in recognition of his support and leadership for local community business and their families.
Locally, he was the recipient of the Warsaw/Kosciusko County Chamber of Commerce Government Excellence Award in 1999 and the Mary Louise Lowe Right to Life Award in 2004.
Adams currently serves as a member of the Grace College Board of Trustees, the Bowen Center for Human Services board of directors and the Warsaw Community Development Corp. Board of Directors. He is a member of Rotary and the Kosciusko County Historical Society.
He and his wife Nancy of 48 years are members of the Warsaw Evangelical Presbyterian Church and have five children and 16 grandchildren.
