Several restaurants in Warsaw had their alcohol licenses renewed during Thursday’s Kosciusko County Alcoholic Beverage Commission meeting despite violations.
Los Gordos, East Winona Avenue, Warsaw, and Mi Lindo Acapulco, East Center Street, Warsaw, both had been fined for violations in 2010.
Both restaurants were fined $500 for sale of alcohol to a minor, employee serving without a permit and no employee records on hand.
Hacienda, Warsaw, was also caught in 2010 for sale of alcohol to a minor and allowing a minor to loiter. Hacienda was fined $500. Its license was also renewed.
The Post is now under new ownership.
A transfer of ownership was approved for Charlotte and Robert Terhaar to take over the bar and grill in Pierceton.
The Terhaars said they plan to keep the operation basically the same with a few changes.
They plan on converting a storage room to a pool table room with a television.
The approval was pending an inspection, which was slated to take place Thursday.
The following licenses were renewed without any violations:
Lil’s Anchor Bar, Syracuse.
Hammer’s Pub & Grub, Syracuse.
Ruby Tuesday, Warsaw.
During April’s ABC meeting, the following renewals were approved:
Lucky’s Tavern, North Webster.
Barbee Hotel and Restaurant, Warsaw.
Pizza King, Syracuse.
Rex’s Rendezvous, Warsaw.
Bennigan’s, Warsaw.
Speedway, Warsaw.
Stacy’s, Leesburg.
Walgreen’s, Warsaw.
Pizza King, Bennigan’s, Lucky’s Tavern and Barbee Hotel and Restaurant were all renewed with violations.[[In-content Ad]]
