The Elks 802 in Warsaw was renewed after an incident six months ago.
Jerry Nolin, a trustee for the Elks, represented the Elks and said a fine was paid for sale of alcohol to a minor and sale to a non-member.
Nolin said it was the first alcohol-related incident with excise he could remember.
Nolin also said steps have been taken to assure it won't happen again.
El Arriero, 819 N. Detroit St., Warsaw, was also renewed despite a violation of sale to a minor.
The violation took place in February 2010 and the restaurant paid a $500 fine.
El Arriero has had excise police in it since the incident and hasn't been cited.
While El Arriero had violations in the past concerning employee permits, this was its first alcohol-related charge.
Board members are Elim Smith, Kenneth Johnson and Gordon Vanator. Excise officer April Tackett also serves on the board.[[In-content Ad]]
