A. Eugene Gregory, 88, of 222 N. CR 175E, Warsaw, died at 7:10 a.m. April 19, 2007, at Miller's Merry Manor, Syracuse.

He was born Sept. 11, 1918, in Whitley County, to Arthur and Margaret Garvin Gregory. On Dec. 28, 1957, he married Madaline Weigold, who survives.

A 50-year Warsaw resident, he was a Prudential Insurance Agent. He graduated from Larwill High School in 1936. He spent 40 years at the Warsaw Speedway, running push jeeps and setting up the public address system. He was the original owner of Gene's Electric in Columbia City, moving to Warsaw in 1957, where he was one of the founders of KEMRAD. He was past president of the Warsaw Band Boosters, past patron of Warsaw Chapter 88 Order of the Eastern Star, and a 50-year member of Warsaw Masonic Lodge 73, F&AM. He was past president of Order of Rainbow for Girls, having received the Grand Cross of Color. He retired as an agent with Prudential Insurance Company.

Also surviving are two daughters, Mrs. Kevin (Kim) Baney, Warsaw, and Mrs. Tom (Pam) Apple, Ohio; a son, Larry Gregory, Warsaw; six grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, Maxine Ressler, Columbia City.

Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Tom Cormany officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Calling is from 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday with a Masonic Memorial Service at 7:30 p.m.
