9/11 Remembrance Ceremony Saturday At Center Lake Pavilion

The ceremony begins at 3:15 p.m. and is open to the community.
A welcome will be given by Mike Cox, 9/11 remembrance committee co-chairman and Warsaw Police Department officer. The colors will be presented; Ed Rock, Kosciusko County emergency management director, will sing the National Anthem; and Ken Locke, Salvation Army community ministries director, will give a prayer.
The Battle of the Badges winner will be announced as well as a coloring contest winner.
Local fallen officers Harold Shepler, Joseph Bauer, Phillip Hochstetler and Jason Beal will be remembered. Their names are currently on the 9/11 memorial outside Center Lake Pavilion.
Kosciusko County Sheriff Rocky Goshert will remember fallen officer Jeff Shaw.
Cox will unveil Shaw's name that will be placed on the 9/11 memorial outside Center Lake Pavilion.
Winona Lake Police Officer Brad Kellar will sing "Amazing Grace/Man In Brown."
The county honor guard will present pictures to Shaw's wife and parents.
The colors will be retired, and a 21-gun salute and "Taps" will be performed.[[In-content Ad]]
