A local 9/11 ceremony to remember lives lost is planned.

The ceremony is Tuesday at 6 p.m. outside Center Lake Pavilion at the 9/11 monument.

Mike Cox, 9/11 committee co-chair, will provide opening remarks.

Warsaw Mayor Joe Thallemer will speak about 9/11.

Indiana Guard Reserves will present the colors.

Brad Kellar, Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department deputy, will sing the National Anthem. Local musician Ivory West also will sing.

Boy Scout Troop 715 will lead the Pledge of Allegiance.

Ken Locke, Salvation Army community ministries director, will provide a prayer.

Kosciusko County Red Cross will announce its Battle of the Badges winner.

A blood drive was in July and August when those who donated blood could have it donated in honor of local police, fire and emergency management services personnel.

Another local event to remember 9/11 is the “Cry Out America” prayer time from 7:46 to 8:46 a.m.

The event is at the War Memorial on the corner of Lake and Center streets at the Kosciusko County Courthouse.

The prayer is being organized by the Greater Warsaw Ministerial Association.[[In-content Ad]]
