4-H King, Queen to be Crowned July 7

The king, queen, prince and princess will be crowned July 7 at 7 p.m. at the extension office.
The following is a list of queen and king contestants and some information on them:
Alicia Howell is the daughter of Laura Graham and David Howell and lives in Warsaw. She just finished her sophomore year at Tippecanoe Valley High School. She is in her sixth year in 4-H and attends Atwood Neverquitters. She has taken numerous projects including scrapbooking, poultry, photography, personality, miscellaneous crafts, junior leaders, home environment, goats, consumer clothing and child development. She has held offices of vice president and secretary/treasurer in her club. Her goals are to attend Purdue University to study psychology or interior design.
Alyssa McKee is the daughter of Linda and David McKee and lives in North Manchester. She is in her fifth year in 4-H and attends horse and pony, rabbit, poultry and Cat Care Club. She has served as the president of the Hippology club for two years. She just finished her junior year at Manchester High School, and after graduation, plans to attend IUPUI and study speech therapy.
Erin Kintzel is the daughter of Jim and Aimee Kintzel of Warsaw. She graduated this year from Tippecanoe Valley High School and plans on attending Purdue University this fall to study food science. This is her 10th year in 4-H and has held the offices of president, vice president, secretary, treasurer and reporter for the American Guys & Gals 4-H club. Her projects include beef, swine, consumer meats, photography, miscellaneous crafts, woodworking, child development, wearable art, rabbits, dairy calf feeder steer and gift wrapping.
Heidi Kolberg is the daughter of Doyle and Cindy Kolberg and lives in Syracuse. She is in her ninth year in 4-H and belongs to the Syracuse Community Hands and the Kosciusko County Jr. Leaders clubs. She has held the offices of president, secretary, reporter and health and safety leader. Her projects include junior achievement record, senior achievement record, alfalfa, dairy foods, fine arts, miscellaneous crafts, floriculutre, baked foods, preserved foods, health, junior leaders, sewing, sheep and swine. She will be a senior this fall at Wawasee High School, and after graduation plans on attending Indiana Wesleyan University to major in computer graphics or pre-art therapy.
Kelsea McDonald is the daughter of Scott and Sirenna McDonald. She will be a junior this fall at Warsaw Community High School, and after graduation plans on attending IUPUI, IPFW or Purdue to get a degree in interior design and have her own business some day. This is her seventh year in 4-H and belongs to the Leesburg Mighty Farmers and Goat Club. She has held the offices of vice president and treasurer within those clubs. Her projects include cat poster, dog poster, fine arts, home environment, horseless horseman, miscellaneous crafts, personality, photography, pocket caged critters, scrapbook, veterinary science, woodworking, goats and poultry.
Madeline Pacheco is the daughter of Dan and Marna Pacheco and lives in Etna Green. She is homeschooled and just completed her sophomore year. She is in her eighth year in 4-H and belongs to KCK9’s where she held the offices of president, vice president, treasurer and health and safety leader. Madeline’s projects include dogs, goats, poultry, sheep, sewing, photography, dairy foods, consumer meats, needlecraft, miscellaneous crafts, collections and microwave cooking. Upon graduation, she plans on using dogs in animal assisted therapy, training guide dogs for the disabled and interpreting for the hearing impaired.
Kristin Quick is the daughter of Jill Landrigan of Warsaw and she just completed her junior year at Warsaw Community High School. This is her eighth year in 4-H and has taken swine, dairy feeder steers, dairy beef, dairy, poultry, junior leaders, baked foods and preserved foods. She belongs to the Pierceton Hayseeds 4-H club where she has held the office of secretary. After graduation, she plans on attending Purdue University to major in business and marketing to work for a local orthopedic company or travel and do mission work.
Brody Cook is the son of Jon and Jennifer Cook of Mentone. He just completed his junior year at Tippecanoe Valley High School and after graduation plans on attending Purdue University. He belongs to the Mentone United 4-H club and held offices of president, secretary and treasure. He is in his ninth year in 4-H and has taken forestry, wildlife, dog obedience, photography, veterinary science, poultry, dog poster and poultry poster.
Joshua Montel is the son of Brent and Sarah Montel of Claypool. He is a junior at Whitko High School, and upon graduation he plans to attend college to pursue a career with large animal veterinary or biomedical. He is in his ninth year in 4-H where he belongs to the Monroe-Go-Getters and 4-H Junior Leaders. He has held the offices of president, 4-H junior leader representative on council and junior committee representative for goats. His projects include library, veterinary science, photography, goats, swine, dairy calf feeder, steers, tractor and woodworking.

He just graduated from Warsaw Community High School and will attend Purdue University and plans to work for a local agriculture business and expand on the family farm. This is his 10th year in 4-H and belongs to the Pierceton Hayseeds and has held the offices of president, vice president and secretary. His projects include swine, dairy, dairy beef, dairy calf feeder steer, poultry and woodworking, shooting sports and junior leaders.
Mikel Hogan is the member of the Lucky Lads ad Lassies where he has served as the club president, vice president, recreational leaders and assistant recreational leaders. His projects include foods, electricity, photography, miscellaneous crafts and models.
Rob Hoffman is the son of Aime and Hal Hoffman of Claypool. He is the 2011 graduate of Tippecanoe Valley High School and is attending Trine University in the fall to major in education to become a physical education teacher and coach basketball. He is in his 10th year in 4-H and belongs to the Beaver Dam Better 4-Hers. He has held the offices of reporter and corresponding secretary. His projects include corn, soybean, genealogy, shooting sports, swine, goats and dairy calf feeder steer, baked foods, preserved foods, dairy foods and achievement record book.[[In-content Ad]]
