$30K-$50K in Fridges, ACs Reported Stolen from Milford Business

July 28, 2016 at 4:25 p.m.

By Craig Brosman-

At 4:15 a.m. Friday morning an employee of Bison Manufacturing noticed that $30,000 to $50,000 of merchandise was missing from storage areas at the business.

Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Deputies responded to Bison Manufacturing, 804 Higbee St., Milford, to meet Charlie Beard, the purchasing agent for Bison. The deputy spoke with Beard and was informed that Beard could not open the front gate to go to work.  Beard said that the padlock had been changed and he had to use a side door to gain access.

Once inside Beard said that he noticed the area that was storing refrigerators and air conditioning units was empty. Beard  further noticed that the awnings, brackets and legs were missing.

Beard told the deputy that the awnings were in boxes and in order to know they were awnings you would have had to work at the business. Additionally Beard informed the deputy that the mounting equipment was stored in a separate location and the only way to know that was if the person worked at the business.

KCSD detectives are currently investigating the theft. If you have any information call KCSD at 574-267-5667.
