Three suspects were arrested after a vehicle pursuit by Winona Lake Police late Tuesday evening.

Winona Lake police officer Brad Kellar observed a suspicious vehicle parked on the north side of Walgreens, 2400 E. Center St. Two persons were in the vehicle. Kellar observed a third individual quickly exiting the store and getting into the back of the vehicle.

The vehicle left the parking lot traveling on back streets. Kellar attempted a traffic stop, but the suspects fled police, disregarded stop signs, passed other vehicles recklessly and drove left of center.

The vehicle eventually left the roadway at the intersection of CRs 225E and 75N, and became stuck in a ditch. All three suspects fled on foot.

Officers set up a perimeter behind the residence of 786 CR 225E.

The first suspect was apprehended by a Warsaw Police K-9 unit. The second suspect surrendered, and the third was taken into custody after attempting to break into a nearby residence.

Two of the three suspects were transported to Kosciusko Community Hospital for hypothermia, and one was treated for injuries suffered while being apprehended by the police K-9 unit.

A search of the vehicle revealed precursors for methamphetamine, as well as other drug paraphernalia. In addition, the registration plate on the vehicle was found to have a sticker that belonged to a plate reported stolen in the county.

Taken into custody were: Roger Jason Hall, 31, of 1760 CR 700S, Claypool; Mark Edward Thurman, 39, of 1134 CR 300S, Warsaw; and Jason R. Coleman, 31, of 920 Anchorage Road, Warsaw.

Hall and Thurman were charged with misdemeanors for possession of paraphernalia and their bonds were set at $500. No bond was set for Coleman, who was charged with fleeing law enforcement, possession of precursors, driving while suspended and Class A misdemeanors for multiple traffic violations.[[In-content Ad]]
