Three people were arrested Wednesday morning on theft charges.

Jennifer Lynn Harvey, 26, of 505 N. Jefferson St., Silver Lake; Marco Antonio Malagon, 19, of 1822 Crescent Drive, Warsaw; and Samuel Effrien Alvarez, 29, also of 1822 Crescent Drive, Warsaw, were booked into Kosciusko County Jail on theft charges.[[In-content Ad]]Harvey also was arrested on an out-of-county warrant.

According to a Kosciusko County Sheriff's Department report, Juan Bernal, East Levi Lee Road, was leaving his residence around 5:58 a.m. Wednesday when he observed Malagon and Alvarez running from a vehicle on Bernal's property.

The two men got into a vehicle parked across the street, with Harvey inside, and fled on Levi Lee Road, then went north on Old 15 after Bernal questioned the driver.

Sheriff Deputy Derek Kreider located the suspects driving on CR 600N just west of Old 15 and stopped the vehicle.

Kreider said the three suspects provided him with different accounts of what happened. During his questioning of them, it was discovered that Harvey had an outstanding warrant.

Bernal arrived and positively identified all three suspects.

What police believe to be stolen property, including cell phones, compact discs, a radar detector and DVD player, was found in the car.

Malagon and Alvarez are currently out of jail after posting a $2,000 bond.

Harvey is still booked in Kosciusko County Jail on a bond of $3,500.
