25 Grace Seniors Named To Who's Who List

WINONA LAKE - Grace College announced the names of 25 seniors named in the list of Who's Who Among Students in American Colleges and Universities.

The following students were selected based on scholarship, service and leadership:

Amanda Justiniano Apeland is a double major in psychology and sociology with a minor in intercultural studies. She is from Tokyo, Japan, and hopes to attend graduate school to become a counselor.

Liz Baker is a secondary mathematics education major from Dalton, Ga. After graduation, she hopes to teach middle school math at Tianjin International School in China, where she has completed two months of student teaching.

Heidi Class of Horsham, Pa., is an elementary education major and plans to teach following graduation.

Angela DeCook is a music education major from Grandville, Mich., who plans on teaching music in an elementary school after graduation.

Alexandra Deyoe is from Greentown. A double major in Spanish and communications, she plans to attend graduate school while participating in the Disney College Program at Walt Disney World in Orlando, Fla.

Kristin Dorland is an English education major from Evart, Mich. After graduation, she hopes to teach middle or high school English.

Cassie Smith Doud graduated in December 2009 with a degree in elementary education. She is from Fort Wayne, and is currently employed as a substitute teacher with Fort Wayne Community Schools.

Valerie Embree is a double major in psychology and Bible from Butler. Her long-term goal is to train female leaders as an international missionary.

Jillian Harmeyer is a native of Dayton, Ohio, currently working at SYM Financial in Warsaw. Harmeyer graduated in December with a double major in business administration and finance.

Bethany Henderson is a psychology and sociology double major from Kalamazoo, Mich. Following graduation, Henderson plans to attend graduate school to become a counselor.

Anna Klatt is a Warsaw native and a double major in history and information systems. She plans to continue her education in the library sciences program at Indiana University - Purdue University Indianapolis while working at the Warsaw Public Library as a reference librarian.

Josh Leichty is an elementary education major with a minor in biblical languages. He is originally from Bourbon, and plans to teach at a school in Asia after graduation.

Mary MacLeod is a biology major and chemistry minor from Kennebunk, Maine. After graduation, she plans to pursue a career as a doctor or physician's assistant with the hope of becoming a medical missionary.

Drew Martin is from Mansfield, Ohio, and is a biology major and chemistry minor. His post-graduation plans are to attend medical school.

Jeremy Maurer is originally from Nappanee, with significant parts of his life spent in northeast Virginia and Cap-Haitien, Haiti, where his parents serve as missionaries. He is completing a degree in general science at Grace Theological Seminary and plans to continue his education in graduate school for geology studies. His long-term goal is to be a creation scientist doing research in geology.

Alisha Walton Miller is an English major with a minor in missions from Ligonier. She and her husband plan to pursue a missions career following her graduation.

Abigail Nishimoto is a native of Bellflower, Calif., and graduated with a double major in communications and Bible. She works in Bellflower with a non-profit community development organization. Next fall, she hopes to attend graduate school with the intention of teaching communications and Bible courses at the college level.

Cassie Patterson is a double major in counseling and criminal justice. Originally from New Bremen, Ohio, she hopes to work in the counseling field following graduation and eventually complete a master's degree.

Seth Pixton is from Royalton, Ohio, and is a business administration and finance major. He is currently working as an Agency Team Member at State Farm Insurance in Warsaw.

Caleb Roth is a double major in general business and business administration with a minor in accounting. After graduation, the Hudsonville, Mich., native plans to secure a job in the local orthopedic industry.

Samuel Roth is a math major with a minor in computer programming from Hudsonville, Mich. He plans to attend graduate school for math and begin a career as a research mathematician and math professor.

Emily Rush is a biology and pre-med major with minors in chemistry and intercultural studies and is a native of Anchorage, Alaska. Following graduation, she plans to attend school to become a physician's assistant.

Bailey Standish graduated in December with a major in communications and a minor in pre-law. She is currently attending Charis Bible College with long-term plans to attend law school. She is from Aurora, Ill.[[In-content Ad]]Abby Walter is originally from Colorado Springs, Colo., and is a double major in communications and behavioral sciences. After her graduation in December 2009, she began working in a foster-care placement agency.

Leah Webb is a triple major in business administration, accounting, and finance and marketing. A native of Columbus, Ohio, she plans to begin work in the fall as an auditor for Deloitte & Touche LLP in San Jose, Calif.
