The Fund assists families that are faced with financial difficulty because of a cancer diagnosis. The 5K race, which took place May 30, had more than 850 participants, and featured exercise, family fun and friendship to honor Yeager and her spirit of selflessness on the one-year anniversary of her passing. The race was the result of Warsaw Community High School student Nate Stone’s Kosciusko Youth Leadership Academy project.
Stone not only came up with the idea of the race but also organized the entire event with the help of many volunteers.
