2 Face Drug Charges

Shortly after 1 p.m. Monday, Kosciusko County Drug Task Force officers converged on a vehicle in the parking lot at the Warsaw branch of the U.S. Postal Service.
Officers had concluded a lengthy investigation that involved the alleged purchase of illegal prescription drugs.
Larry Lee Dennis Jr., 40, and Cheryl Lee Pieske-Dennis, 43, both of 11510 N. Venetian Drive, Syracuse, were preliminarily charged with felony dealing a controlled substance (Schedule I, II, III).
During the arrest, officers discovered that Cheryl had her 4-year-old daughter present in the vehicle during the drug transaction. Child Protective Services was contacted and the agency placed the child in the custody of a family member at this time. Larry and Cheryl were additionally charged with neglect of a dependent, and are each being held on $10,000 bonds at the Kosciusko County Jail.
Vehicular traffic in the post office lot was congested for a short period of time until officers were able to secure the scene.
The Kosciusko County Drug Task Force was assisted by officers from the Warsaw Police Department.
