2 Dead In Syracuse; Police Suspect Murder/Suicide

SYRACUSE -ÊTwo people are dead after an apparent murder and suicide in Syracuse Thursday.
According to a Syracuse Police Department press release, initial investigation shows Robert T. Wazenkewitz, 46, of 311 W. Valley View Drive, Syracuse, allegedly shot and killed Danette G. Miller, 41, same address, before taking his own life. Interviews conducted at the scene by police led officers to believe the motive was domestic issues.
Syracuse dispatch received a 911 call at approximately 1:56 p.m. Thursday regarding a woman possibly dead at the residence. Police and EMS were dispatched to the scene and both victims were found in the back bedroom of the house.
A paramedic confirmed the two were dead and Kosciusko County Coroner Larry Ladd was called to the scene.
An autopsy will be scheduled by the coroner's office at St. Joseph Medical Center, Fort Wayne.
The case is under investigation by the Syracuse Police Department and the Kosciusko County Coroner's Office. [[In-content Ad]]
