Event Set For Thursday Night To Help Syracuse Heal

The event is designed to help community members cope with the recent loss of three people who had deep ties to the Wawasee community. The public is invited.
According to event organizer Shalia Swartz, the gathering is designed to help with healing in connection with “the sudden and tragic loss of three folks near and dear to many.”
The event will honor Kim Conrad, 61, a retired elementary school teacher, and her son Stephen Conrad II, 32, a 2003 Wawasee High School?graduate. The two were killed in a car accident on Christmas.
In addition, Jeff Rostochak, 56, a middle school basketball coach at Milford who died unexpectedly Dec. 21, will be remembered.
The event is planned from 6:30 to 8:30 p.m. Thursday at The Lodge, 13814 N. Eastshore Drive, Syracuse.
