 The following people were preliminarily charged and booked into the Kosciusko County Jail:
• 10:35 p.m. Friday – Randy Wayne Avery, 37, of 4904 E. Armstrong Road, #2, Leesburg, arrested for domestic battery in the presence of a child. Bond: $6,000. 
• 5:06 p.m. Friday – Cliffton Wayne Davis, 39, of 4330 N. Ind. 15, #218, Warsaw, arrested for theft. Bond: $600. 
• 5:38 p.m. Sunday – Johnathon Michael Julian Stump, 21, of 103 W. Pearl St., Syracuse, arrested for theft. Bond: $5,250.
• 3:16 a.m. Saturday – Thomas James Everett, 71, of 8200 E. North Road, Syracuse, arrested for operating a motor vehicle intoxicated. Bond: $700. 
• 11 a.m. Saturday – Andrew Steven Finch, 31, of 318 S. Lake St., Warsaw, arrested for furnishing alcohol to a minor. Bond: $600.
• 9:45 p.m. Saturday – Naomi Gonzales, 31, of 9799 W. CR 200S, Mentone, arrested for possession of marijuana. Bond: $600.
• 10:13 p.m. Saturday – Ronald Eugene Rodriguez, 38, of 1692 E. CR 200N, #127, Warsaw, arrested for driving while classified as a habitual traffic violator, possession of marijuana and operating a motor vehicle while intoxicated. Bond: $5,250.

• 7:54 p.m. Saturday – Intersection of East Old 30 and CR 300E, Warsaw. Two-vehicle collison. Drivers: Shane Smalley, 21, CR 400N, Warsaw; Thomas Keough, 22, CR 225, Winona Lake. Damage: $2,500 to $5,000. Kosciusko County Sheriff’s Department investigated.
• 8:30 p.m. Saturday – Intersection of Ind. 14 and CR 800W, Akron. Car hit deer. Driver: Clayton Slone, 33, Sycamore Street, Silver Lake. Damage $1,00 to $2,500. KCSD.
• 7:40 a.m. Sunday – Intersection of Lake City Highway and CR 200E, Warsaw. Car hit sign. Driver: Matthew Sacks, 69, CR 700S, Warsaw. Damage: $1,000 to $2,500. KCSD. 

Incidents 
• 1:28 p.m. Saturday – A Wal-mart employee reported a theft of televiison sets in the 2500 block of Walton Boulevard, Warsaw. Warsaw Police Department Investigated.
• 1:30 a.m. Sunday – A resident reported broken windows in the 2900 block of Frontage Road, Warsaw. WPD.
• 7:53 p.m. Sunday – A resident reported a theft of a farm wagon in the 8100 block of South Beaver Dam Road, Claypool. KCSD.

Warsaw Gets Past Goshen On Penalty Kicks, Advances
A September match between the Warsaw and Goshen girls soccer teams resulted in a 1-1 tie after a hard-fought match. Tuesday night, the two teams met for a second time on a much bigger stage: the opening round of the 3A girls soccer sectional tournament at Elkhart High School. With a winner having to emerge this time around, it came down to penalty kicks, with the Lady Tigers winning 5-3 after a 0-0 tie.
