God created man in his image, if one is to believe the scriptures. I do believe them, and it follows that babies are indeed the image of God.
“WE,” you and I, by tolerating a morally corrupt judicial system, have accepted and even encouraged the slaughtering of some 60 million unborn babies since the time of Roe v. Wade.
Abortion is declining in recent years, ostensibly due to greater access to contraception, state laws providing legislation and restrictions on abortion. According to one document, more than half of the Millennial generation polled believe that abortion is morally wrong. Hurrah for the Millennials!
Mothers can now see 3-D images of developing children in the womb. Hopefully, seeing this defenseless little person moving around has a positive effect on preserving the life of a baby. Horror stories of Planned Parenthood clinics butchering unborn children for their body parts has finally led the Senate Judicial Committee to recommend criminal charges. Imagine that!
In 2013, Philadelphia abortionist Kermit Gosnell was convicted of first-degree murder for severing the spinal cords of three babies that had survived his botched abortions. The clinic was filthy and in disrepair.
The report, “Unsafe: How the Public Health Crisis in America’s Abortion Clinics Endangers Women,” debunks the theory that legalized abortion is a “safe choice” for mothers. While the choice of abortion always results in the killing of a baby, it can result in the death of the mother due to incompetence and/or filthy conditions. While the defenseless baby has no say in the decision to be killed, the mother is the voluntary decision maker in the entire process. I am appalled at the marketing success in depicting the mother as the victim justified in killing her baby. The baby losing his/her life is the victim, not the person having the freedom of choice to take that life.
An innocent, defenseless baby, sacrificed on a bloody pagan altar under the pretense of “choice,” is always the slaughtered victim.
A martyr is defined as a person imprisoned or executed for refusing to renounce or refusing to advocate a political cause. Obviously, abortion is a political cause being part of the Democratic platform. Consequently, I believe martyrdom does, indeed, include innocent, defenseless babies who would most assuredly renounce in mass the heinous butchery to which they were subjected.
Sixty million martyrs and counting!
Where is the outrage?
