BOURBON – With his team trailing by 16 in the first half and by 14 at halftime, Zac Pitney capped a Triton rally with a three-pointer with less than two seconds left to give Triton a 47-45 win over visiting Winamac Friday night in the Trojan Trench.
Pitney hit a total of four treys in the game, and finished with a game-high 19 points. Grant Johnson had 11 points and led the Trojans with six rebounds.
Triton outscored the Warriors 13-7 in the third quarter and 19-9 in the fourth period to gain the win.
The Trojans improved to 4-3 overall and 2-0 in the Hoosier North Athletic Conference. They will host Warsaw Wednesday.
