He was born July 12, 1930, a son of Harold and Lucille Lentz Kinsey. He graduated from Monticello High School and DePauw University, receiving a business degree.
He served in the U.S. Navy for two years. He retired from Bendix Corp., South Bend, having served in many capacities. He also was a private consultant for manufacturing businesses and authored the book "Just In Time World."
He was a most generous man, having supported many organizations, especially DePauw University.
On Sept. 9, 2001, he married Patricia English. She died Oct. 4, 2016.
Surviving are his nephews, Steve (spouse Janell) Miller, South Bend, and Alan (spouse Becky) Miller, Glidden, Iowa; a niece, Linda (Isham Respess) Miller, Austin, Texas; and four great-nieces, Kelsey Mills, Tessa Miller, Elizabeth Miller and Allison Miller.
He was preceded in death by his parents, wife and a sister, Janis Miller.
Relatives and friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Eley Funeral Home, Constantine, where religious services will follow at 11 a.m. A graveside service will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday at Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Pastor Alan Miller, Peace and Trinity Lutheran Church of Glidden and Coon Rapids, Iowa, will officiate both services.
