Wednesday Night Bridge Group
The group had five tables at its Dec. 14 meeting.
Winners were Nannette Newland, Tony Frazzetta, Joan Earhart, Charlie Ker, Joan Kizer and Jim Levandis.
John and Janet Wagley are host and hostess for December.
Four Seasons Ladies Bridge
The Four Seasons Ladies Bridge group met Dec. 14 at Wyndham Garden Hotel.
Winners were Barb Calhan, Maxine Harris and Nannette Newland.
Liz Frazzetta was hostess.
Pierceton Senior Citizens Club
PIERCETON — President John offered the blessing to open the November meeting of Pierceton Senior Citizens Club. Frances led members and one guest to dinner.
The group repeated The Pledge of Allegiance and sang “America.” John read verses of “Count Your Blessings” and “Showers of Blessings” in celebration of Thanksgiving. Betty Rose shared “Old Age Is...,” “People Are Often,” “Be Kind Anyway” and “Thanksgiving Prayer.”
In response to roll call, members shared something from their past that they were happy they didn’t have to use now. John brought a kerosene lantern, crock, post hole digger, rug beater, egg beater and hair clipper as examples of things that are no longer used or are changed for the better.
Dues for 2017 are being collected.
The group’s last meeting and carry-in of the year will be at 6 p.m. Monday at the senior center. Peggy Owens, story teller and singer, will be the entertainment. All seniors who live in and around Pierceton are invited.
Lunch is available each day at the center. Call 574-594-5632 to reserve a meal.
Wyndham Garden Hotel Ladies Bridge
The Wyndham Garden Hotel Ladies Bridge group met Thursday with two tables playing.
Winners were Dian Cartwright and Joan Kizer.
