SYRACUSE – Wawasee senior Meghan Fretz signed a letter of intent Thursday to continue her academic and athletic careers at Huntington University, where she plans to major in Elementary Education.
An All-Northern Lakes Conference player each of the last two seasons, Fretz has also been active in the Kosciusko Youth Leadership Academy, the North Webster United Methodist Church Youth Group, as a coach with Upwards basketball, the Mystique Travel Softball Club, Engineering Super-Mileage Program Captain, and as an English peer tutor.
“(Huntington has) a great Education program, and I knew I wanted a Christ-centered education,” Fretz said. “Coach Gower and the team were very upfront in the process and I knew I found my fit.”
