Wheels On Fire Donates To Kosciusko Cancer Care Fund

They have offered financial support, encouragement and care to those they serve who are fighting the good fight.
This year, the team decided to direct their many fundraising efforts to benefit the Cancer Care Fund of Kosciusko County and the Fulton County Cancer Fund. Beginning with a Valentine’s Lunch in February, the group also hosted lunches at the Akron Community Center and a luncheon for Plow Days for the Echoes of the Past Tractor Club. In April, they sponsored a skeet shoot called Clays for Cancer; and in July they coordinated a trip to a Fort Wayne Tin Caps game.
The group ended the year with the Smash Out Cancer Day at the Akron Community Center. The day offered many activities and food vendors as the entire community came together to encourage and celebrate with survivors and to honor those who have lost the battle.
The Wheels on Fire Team has put forth a great deal of prayer, planning, and energy to raise these funds, according to a news release from the group.
The Team recently presented $5,000 to the Cancer Care Fund of Kosciusko County.
