Warsaw Police Capt. Kip Shuter said the case has been closed and won’t be reopened unless more information becomes available.
Police responded to a 911 call on Nov. 21 for an incident at 310-1/2 Indiana St., and found Curtis Michael, 40, with stab wounds to his back.
Leslie Carter, 43, told police that she and Michael were “goofing off” in the kitchen and he slipped and fell into her knife, according to a probable cause affidavit from the Kosciusko?Prosecutor’s Office.
Michael told the police he didn’t remember being stabbed until he woke up bleeding.

Upon searching the house, police found a glass smoking device, a metal spoon and three hydremic needles. One needle and the spoon tested positive for methamphetamines.
Carter is currently is Kosciusko?County Jail on charges of disorderly conduct and possession of meth. Bond is set at $5,250.
