He was born Oct. 16, 1937, in Warsaw, to Arnold R. and Lucille J. Drudge Jefferies. On Oct. 26, 1958, in Warsaw, he married Sue Edington, who survives in Winona Lake.
He is a 1956 graduate of Claypool High School. He is a lifetime Kosciusko County resident.
He was a gas serviceman at NIPSCO, Warsaw. He retired in 1999 after 50 years of service to the company.
He was a member of Pleasant View Bible Church where he was an interpreter for the deaf. He was also a church youth leader for AWANA and a long-time member of the Claypool Lions Club.
Also surviving are two daughters, Laura (and spouse Ken) Schue and Aimee (and spouse Bob) Hartwiger, all of Warsaw; four granddaughters: Mandy (and spouse Bret) Walters and Abbey Hartwiger, both of Warsaw; Carol (and spouse Mark) Simmons, Leesburg; Brittany (and spouse Jake) Herendeen, Barbee Lake; and a brother, Terry Jefferies, Center Point. He was preceded in death by his father, Arnold R. Jefferies; his mother, Lucille J. Clase; a brother, Robert Jefferies; and three sisters: Doris Wiltrout, Barbara Snider and Pat Haddon.
Services will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday at Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw, with Pastor Ryan Petgen and Chaplain Richard Anderson officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home.
