He was born Dec. 19, 1943, in Huntington, to Kenneth and Winifred Hensel Bragg. On Sept. 28, 1972, in Calhoun, Ga., he married Carol L. Elder, who survives in Morristown.
He served in the US Navy on the USS Essex (CVS-9). He was a member of American Legion Post 258, Pierceton, and also belonged to the VFW Post 1126, Warsaw. He was an orthopedic machinist for DePuy, Warsaw, for 28 years, retiring in 2006. He then relocated to Morristown.
Also surviving are five children: Randall (and spouse Angi) Lewis, Sarasota, Fla.; Katheryn Lewis-Wolford, Claypool; Michele (and spouse Lane) Lewis-Morgan, Morristown; Crystal (and spouse Noah) Bragg-Simison, Warsaw; Kent (and spouse Rachel) Bragg II, Talbott; nine grandchildren: Erikia Wolford and Paul, Nicole (and spouse Gabe) Morgan–Wilkins, Desiree Wolford, Niressa Morgan, Ash Simison, Katelyn Bragg, Mason Simison, Michael and Megan Bragg; two great-grandchildren, Levi and Thea Eberly; a sister, Janet Swales, Decatur; and father-in-law, Max Miller, Leesburg. He was preceded in death by his parents; a mother-in-law, Florence Miller; and brother-in-law, Charles Swales.
No public services are planned. Burial with military honors provided by American Legion Post 258, Pierceton, and the Military Funeral Honors Guard will take place in Oakwood Cemetery, Legion Circle, at 11 a.m. Friday.
McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, is entrusted with the arrangements.
