Warsaw Man Faces Fraud Charges

Police arrested Glen G. Ashby, 64, after Lake City Bank found the credit cards Ashby used to obtain cash advances were fraudulent.
Ashby was charged with fraud of financial institution, a level 5 felony.
According to the probable cause statement, Ashby used a Chase Bank card to withdraw three cash advances totaling $15,000 at Lake City Bank. Two withdrawals were made on June 3 and another was made on June 10.
Chase Bank then filed a claim disputing the charges.
Police spoke with Ashby who said that he was given the cards by Linda Ben from Nigeria and the money was from her company. He said that he had sent all the money to Nigeria in different people’s names.
Ashby is being held in the Kosciusko County Jail on $10,250 bond.
