Wagon Wheel Jr. To Hold Auditions

Wagon Wheel Jr., the youth theatre program of Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts, announced upcoming auditions for its Halloween show (title to be announced) as well as Wagon Wheel Theatre’s holiday musical, “A Christmas Carol.”
Both shows will be auditioned Saturday at Wagon Wheel Center for the Arts. Ages 9 to 11 audition at 10 a.m., while ages 12 to 18 will audition beginning at 11:30 a.m.
Any youth ages 9 to 18 with an interest in the performing arts are encouraged by the organization to audition. Participants will be taught a short song, but do not need to prepare anything in advance.

The fall Wagon Wheel Jr. show is set to run Oct. 29 and 30 at 2 p.m., while the rehearsals will occur from Oct. 14 through 28.
Wagon Wheel Theatre’s “A Christmas Carol” opens on Dec. 2 and runs through Dec. 18, and rehearsals for that show begin Nov. 21 and run through Dec. 1.
See The Universe At Potawatomi Park
TIPPECANOE – The Warsaw Astronomical Society will conduct a public observing night hosted by Potawatomi Wildlife Park Saturday and Sept. 3.
Both dates are one hour after dark at the park observing field. Observing is pending clear skies. Call ahead if partly cloudy.
Plan to attend and discover the universe for yourself. Society members will be in attendance to share the night sky through telescopes of all sizes. Objects will include various constellations, and an array of other near and deep sky objects.

Potawatomi Wildlife Park is a free-admission 317-acre park along the Tippecanoe River south of Bourbon. It is in Marshall County, just over the Kosciusko County border.
Coming from the north, the park entrance is located approximately a half mile south of Ind. 10 directly across from 17th Road. Coming from the south, the entrance is approximately a half mile north of the Tippecanoe Bridge on Ind. 331.
Recognized as Indiana's first official dark-sky preserve, the property is a favorite site for local and regional amateur astronomers. The park is open daily from sunrise to sunset for the public to walk the trails and observe or study wildlife or learn about the historic features the park preserves.
Free Music In The Park: An Evening With The Triton School Band
TIPPECANOE – Spend a free evening with the Triton School Band in the Bessinger Pavilion, Potawatomi Wildlife Park, 16998 Ind. 331, Tippecanoe.
The Triton Marching Band and the Trojan Jazz Band, with conductor David Seel, will perform at 6 p.m. Sunday. Donations will be accepted.
