She was born July 30, 1928, in Warsaw, to Fred and Fern Warning Hunter. On Aug. 23, 1952, in Warsaw, she was united in marriage to Lewis H. Smith Jr., who preceded her in death March 11, 1999.
She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County where she graduated from Warsaw High School. She worked for Playtime for 22 years and then for KMC, retiring in 1991. She was a member of Claypool United Methodist Church and American Legion Auxiliary Post 49, Warsaw, since 1954.
She is survived by her son, Mark Smith, Claypool.
Services will be at noon Tuesday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Mike Settles officiating. Burial will be in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Calling is from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday at the funeral chapel.
