Whitko Roundup: Soccer Falls To Central Noble

ALBION – Whitko senior Riley Insley scored off a corner kick, accounting for the lone goal in the Lady Wildcats’ 4-1 loss at Central Noble Thursday evening.
On Saturday, Whitko will host West Noble, with kickoff scheduled for 10 a.m.
Triton Golf Trips Whitko
NORTH MANCHESTER – The visiting Triton girls golf team edged Whitko 253-260 at Sycamore Golf Club Thursday.
Claire Reiff’s 57 was the low score for Whitko. Alexys Rider shot a 63. Bailey Wright 69, and Makayla Compton 71.
Kate Gardner had a 59 for Triton, with Megan McFarland posting a 61, Samantha Edington a 62. Delanie Groves a 71 and Alysha May a 77 for the Lady Trojans.
Whitko will play in the Rochester Invitational on Saturday. Triton returns to Sycamore on Tuesday to take on Manchester.
Whitko Tennis Blanked
Whitko’s boys tennis team fell 5-0 to the visiting Westview Warriors Thursday.
The Wildcats will be back in action Monday at home against Whitley County rival Columbia City.
Eagles Blank Whitko
COLUMBIA CITY – The Columbia City Eagles scored six goals in the first half en route to a 13-0 win over visiting Whitko in boys soccer action Thursday night.
The Wildcats will travel to Winona Lake to take on Lakeland Christian Academy at 5 p.m. Saturday.
