CEDARVILLE – Warsaw opened its girls volleyball season with a 25-10, 25-21, 25-17 loss at Leo Monday night.
Statistical leaders for the Lady Tigers were Kacy Bragg with 12 assists and two kills, Lexie Day with three kills and an ace, and Erin Peugh with eight digs and four kills.
The Lady Tiger junior varsity came back from a set down to narrowly win over Leo 17-25, 25-23, 15-14. Addie Dickeroff had 12 assists, Amy Herendeen had 10 digs and Cassadi Colbert recorded five kills for Warsaw.
The Warsaw freshman team also won, 25-22, 25-15 over Leo. Katie Schmidt had 12 assists and three service aces, Allie McGuire had a dozen digs, and Brooklyn Slone had four kills.
Next up for the Lady Tigers is a road match at Huntington North, with the varsity set to begin at 7:15 p.m. Thursday.
