COLUMBIA CITY – After a scoreless first half, Manchester lost its girls soccer season opener 1-0 at Columbia City Monday night.
“Despite great defensive efforts from Ellie Milam, Bailey Sewell, Melissa Saucedo, and Olivia Dockter, Columbia City scored with 23 minutes left in the game,” said Manchester head coach Jen Birch. “Jirni Cripe, Carsyn Howard, Elizabeth Anguilm, and Brooklyn Howard all had shots on goal, but could not seem to find the back of the net.”
Manchester opens the home portion of its schedule at 6:45 Thursday night when it hosts Warsaw.
