She was born May 4, 1925, in Kosciusko County, to Louis J. and Hazel M. Jenkins Kraatz. On June 1, 1947, in Warsaw, she was united in marriage to Robert L. Hart, who preceded her in death July 18, 1994.
A lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, she graduated from Mentone High School with the class of 1943. After high school, she began her employment with NIPSCO, retiring in 1983. After retiring from NIPSCO, she worked for First National Bank, Warsaw, in the trust department and then Ace Hardware.
She was a member of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church, Warsaw. She also was a member of Good Neighbors Sunday School Class at Walnut Creek Church, Eastern Star, Modern Homemakers, Home-Ec Club, Red Hat Society and Salvation Army Women’s Auxiliary.
Surviving are two daughters, Kim Hart and Lynn (and spouse Kevin) Rose, all of Warsaw, and her beloved cats.
Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw, with Pastor Greg Hiatt officiating. Burial will be at a later date in Oak Hill Cemetery, Hammond.
Calling is from 1 to 3 p.m. Sunday at the funeral chapel.
