HUNTINGTON – Manchester’s girls golf team finished fourth and Wawasee seventh at the 14-team Huntington North Invitational at Norwood Golf Club Wednesday.
Samantha Kissel paced the Lady Squires with an 88, including a birdie on the par-3 11th hole. Madyson Ulrey posted a 95, Lydia Little a 96, Kelsey Eichenauer a 97 and Karly Eichenauer with a 100.
“We played amazing today,” head coach Joshua Troyer said. “The girls stepped up to the challenge and lowered our best 18-hole record by 20 strokes today. I’m so proud of them and their accomplishments already this season.”
Aubrey Schmeltz paced Wawasee with an 85, followed by Madison Beaman’s 99. Judison Rostochak shot a 107, and Zoe White was a shot behind Rostochak.
Wawasee travels to North Manchester’s Sycamore Golf Club to take on Concord and host Whitko this afternoon. Manchester is hosting its invitational tournament this morning, also at Sycamore.
