GRANGER – Manchester’s Lady Squires continued a heavy early-season girls golf schedule with a sixth-place finish at the Penn Invitational at Knollwood Country Club Tuesday.
Lydia Little shot a 101 for the Lady Squires, followed by Kelsey Eichenauer’s 103. Madyson Ulrey had a 111, Karly Eichenauer shot 116 and Samantha Kissel posted a 117.
“(The) girls battled through a tough course, and playing 72 holes in four days to finish strong,” said Manchester head coach Joshua Troyer. “This was easily the toughest course we have played, being a 36 hole country club and having very tight fairways and long rough.
“I am proud of the girls commitment to doing their best today even through the circumstances.”
The Lady Squires were right back at it this morning, teeing off in the Huntington North Invitational.
