The Manchester University women’s basketball team had its five-game win streak snapped on Saturday afternoon by the visiting Franklin College Grizzlies. Franklin ran past the Spartans by a final score of 76-54 as Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference play continued for both schools.

In a high school boys basketball thriller that featured 16 lead changes and eight ties, the teams combined to make 21 three-pointers before the Bulldogs left the Tiger Den with a 63-60 victory.

Grace’s women’s basketball team handled the fast-paced attack of Olivet Nazarene with ease, winning 91-54 on Thursday. The Lady Lancers (7-4) impressed defensively against the Tigers. ONU, the No. 1-scoring team in the NAIA at 93.8 points per game, was held to 39 points below their season average against Grace.
